Comments: Great flat course. Long downhill at the end.I had a couple of runners from my group to pace off of and we stayed pretty consistent over the course. Post race
Warm down: Crossed over onto Browns Island and got my post race food and drink. Got a hot cup of coffee from the McD's stand to warm me up. Stretched a bit but I started getting a chill so i went an picked up my bag from the UPS truck. I felt better after I had my sweatshirt on. Then I walked 10 blocks or so over to Belvediere to man the Mile 17 water stop for the marathon. Got to hang out with the Richmond Tri Club crowd and cheer on the marathoners for the next 2.5 hrs. Event comments: I would definitely do this race again.Got a PR. 19/130 for M45-59 176/1322 of Males 228/3587 overall Last updated: 2012-09-10 12:00 AM

Up at 0500. Breakfast of half a whole wheat bagel with pnut butter and a small banana. Left at 0530 to pick up Bill who is running his first half mary.
Parked at 8th and Cary Streets and walked to the starting area on Broad. Checked at the start area and the bag drop and then just walked around for about 10 minutes to stay warm. At 30 minutes to start time I dropped my bag with my pants and sweatshirt off and went to find the porto-potty.
