Swim
Comments: It was a short swim, even by DQ standards. My heartrate killed any rhythm. What would you do differently?: not be sick. train. Transition 1
Comments: Guess I was so brain dead I tried jumping on my bike from the back. Obviously this white boy didn't clear the seat. Once on the bike I realized my chinstrap was secured either. Bike
Comments: So in my dayquil haze the day before I forgot to pack contact lenses so I got to bike semi-blind. I apparently rode right past Victoria with even noticing her or hearing her scream my name. What would you do differently?: wear contacts. I looked at my data the next day and I averaged 282watts which isn't my best work. Transition 2
Run
Comments: I came off the bike in 2nd and pushed it for the 1st 1.5miles trying to chase down the guy ahead but he wasn't slowing and we basically ran the same split. Post race
Warm down: drank and ate pizza. Took 1000mg of advil as my knee killed. What limited your ability to perform faster: training, illness. Event comments: Again, D&Q knows how to excute a solid race. They changed the run course this year and I found it better. Last updated: 2012-09-11 12:00 AM

Stayed at my parents place in Tuckerton. Had a head cold all week and was still unsure about racing. Decided since it was free to race that I'd suck it up and took some dayquil.
I haven't been training with ongoing knee pain but I was going regardless so suck it up.
Ran approx. 1mile to warmup the legs. Swam for a short 3mins with a couple 25yrd sprints. Never take dayquil and excercise! Thought my heart was going to pound itself out of my chest.
