Comments: Forgot to clean my goggles and got sunscreen smeared in them which made sighting difficult. Came right up on the second buoy and had to adjust to pass on the correct side. Had trouble seeing the swim finish buoys. What would you do differently?: Next year - do more open water swims and practice integrating sighting. Transition 1
Comments: Hill run was a challenge but got the wetsuit off easier this race. Hill run time was 0:02:25. What would you do differently?: Next year just take the wetsuit off at the bottom of the hill and run it. Practice putting feet into shoes already clipped and practice mounting. Bike

What would you do differently?: Learn how to take shoes off while still riding and practice dismounts. Run
What would you do differently?: Keep working the running. This leg needs to be much stronger. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Having had a bad race 2 weeks prior due to an illness the week before the race, I don't think my training was up to par and I think I was still feeling the effects of recovery. This year's race was not as good as last year's race. Overall time was +0:49:56 from the leader. Event comments: Post race food didn't offer any protein other than a seafood chowder and I'm allergic to seafood. Luckily I had some food with me. Last updated: 2012-09-13 12:00 AM
