Swim
Comments: I did not feel good in the swim this time, I swam slower than even my practice times. I think being cold and not being able to warm up significantly made it difficult to have a good swim. This swim was more difficult than longer swims I've done. What would you do differently?: Try to warm up better. Transition 1
Comments: Even colder getting out of the pool than getting into it which just made everything more difficult. I was happy with it overall, a little slower than ideal. What would you do differently?: Practice more Bike
Comments: Felt great, impressed myself with my speed. It was nice to see all the hard work riding into headwinds was worth it since I managed my fastest average speed with no wind on race day. What would you do differently?: Work on form Transition 2
Comments: Got confused when exiting transition area and had to run back through the transition area to the run exit. What would you do differently?: Look to see where the run exit is before the race. Run
Comments: Felt good, PR for 3 mile time. What would you do differently?: Keep training Post race
Warm down: Very little stretching Water Pancakes What limited your ability to perform faster: Being cold Event comments: It was a good race, overall well organized. The vendors after the race were helpful and nice. I enjoyed this race much more than my first race (Cooper Sprint Tri). If I wasn't moving I would like to do more of the Dallas Athletes races.
