Pre-race routine:

Woke at 4 AM and had breakfast.
Swim
  • 55m 42s
  • 4224 yards
  • 01m 19s / 100 yards
Comments:

Great swim in a huge field. Next time I would go without the suit.
Transition 1
  • 03m 32s
Comments:

Not a normal trans at the IM. Wetsuit strippers. No shoes on bike.
Bike
  • 6h 15m 59s
  • 112 miles
  • 17.87 mile/hr
Comments:

Thought I would ride a little faster, but overall very happy with the ride. Beautiful course on a great day. I was so, so on the climbs.
Transition 2
  • 05m 57s
Comments:

They do it all for you. Hand them the bike and you are off. I could have been faster, but I had to sunscreen and lube up the chafe on my underarms.
Run
  • 5h 13m 23s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 11m 58s  min/mile
Comments:

I could have/should have run faster. I felt good going out but was worried about bonking and feeling bad so I held back. Much better on the second half with a 6 minute negative split!
What would you do differently?:

I would push harder when I felt good.

Event comments:

I have no other comparisons as far as IM's go, but this race is awesome! I had a great experience start to finish, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
