Run
Comments: GREAT race - thought I was actually coming in about 1:40:00 based on what I thought my pace was, ended up about :32 slower than last year, but it FELT much better, it felt a lot easier to maintain that pace than pushing it last year, could have pushed more but best feeling on a long distance run ever. dropped a gel early on but had enough to manage without it What would you do differently?: control the pace more - dropped pacing between 5 and 10k, also make sure the HRM is accurately calibrated next year. Only major issue was the ipod, ended up shutting off every couple minutes which required a restart - think I was butt-dialing stop button - was a super pain, never made it through one song without issues, think next year will downshift to a shuffle Post race
Warm down: stretches, lots of the goodies onhand Event comments: male ranking 82 of 588, age/grade 60.95% next year it's another crack at the full marathon - based on this race will not only nail 4:00:00 but 3:30:00 Last updated: 2012-10-05 12:00 AM
