Comments: Weather: 58*F overcast with a slight breeze for most of the race, couple of good rain showers toward the end made it wet and nasty cold. With the exception of mile 2's potty break... I succeeded. Pacing went very well and I wasn't constantly looking at the Garmin, so plus there. Nutrition was spot on with the addition of Salt Stick since my last marathon. I am taking to the Salt Stick very well with no issues. What would you do differently?: Nada Post race
Warm down: I had 18 miles on my training plan for this weekend so after crossing the line and walking thru the food with a quick break for some grub... headed back out on the course. Running back out encouraging the incoming runners and thanking all the volunteers and cops working traffic. Finished the extra 5 miles still having good legs... tired but still working. What limited your ability to perform faster: Personal choice. Event comments: Inaugural event for the local area... went off really well and sure to be a future hit. Last updated: 2012-10-07 12:00 AM
