breakfast (eggs toast sausage at 7am, gatorade prime at 9:15am. some jelly bean energy beans at 9:45am. start at 10am.

slow transition. doubled up on socks (giant acorn sock snad aunderarmour running socks) to combat cold. had the giant acorn long sleeve as first layer, and orange banana republic sporty sweatshirt over it. pretty slow overall.

was very very tired after swim, first part of bike i was fueling up and a bit disoriented, i got more comfy a little later. averaged 19.1mph the last 9 or so miles. pretty flat course.

over all compatitors 273 is mens only. i heard there was an accident in the water; a novice male triathlete may have passed away, as he was carried out of the water, limp and blue, and CPR was performed for a few minutes before ambulance came. the ambulance prevented me from entering the transition area after my bike, but it was only for 30 seconds or so.
