Swim
Comments: stopped to check on a kid who looked like he was in trouble. He wa struggling but holding his own. What would you do differently?: try to find a less crowded area to swim. Transition 1
Comments: T1 time is figured into the bike split. The guy on the rack next to me left his crap all over my stuff. But he was kind enough to leave a bucket for me to sit on! What would you do differently?: use my watch. I wish I knew what I averaged on the bike. It's a loooong way from the water to the transition area so I can't even guess what my T1 time was. Bike
Comments: I love this course! too bad it is so far from home because I would like to ride it more often. I hit 36 MPH on a downhill and was pushing 23MPH on some of the flats. What would you do differently?: not screw up the computer before looking at the avg speed. Transition 2
Comments: again, T2 time is added to the run. Now the guy's BIKE is on my stuff, along with the rest of his crap. The rest of the rack is empty (lots of no shows today) but he has to put his stuff on top of mine. Lucky for him that I really like using his bucket :) Transition area now resembles a swamp. What would you do differently?: nothing. Run
Comments: this course seemed much easier than when I did it two years ago. Pleasant surprise. What would you do differently?: nothing. Post race
Warm down: BT'rs Glen, Joanne, and Kathy were all waiting for me when I crossed the finish line. How cool to see them there cheering for me! We grabbed what was left of the food and drinks but then I had to get. Mike was back at the hotel and I needed a shower before we checked out. What limited your ability to perform faster: I'm slow. And old. ;) Event comments: good race, will go back. Last updated: 2006-06-05 12:00 AM
