Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 6:00 AM and ate powerbar and started loading truck. Took a quick shower and reviewed checklist.
Event warmup:

Ran for a few minutes, road bike and then put on wet suit. Did about 10 minute swim warm-up before race start.
Swim
  • 14m 19s
  • 547 yards
  • 02m 37s / 100 yards
Comments:

Started off okay but went to far to my left after the second bouy. This cost me some time to get back on course. Hard to see with the sun in my face but no excuse.
What would you do differently?:

Do a better job of sighting.
Transition 1
  • 01m 7s
Comments:

No problems, I thought I was under 1 minute with T1 but oh well.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Bike
  • 29m 37s
  • 10 miles
  • 20.26 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt good on the bike and my time would have been much better but I got stuck behind a Ford Focus that would not pass bikers. I had to slam on my brakes going UP A HIll! I was so pissed but was able to pass the car on the Hill. I felt this cut about 30 seconds off my time.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing but the race needs to control traffic.
Transition 2
  • 00m 49s
Comments:

No problems.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 23m 6s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 26s  min/mile
Comments:

I actually thought my run time was better. My Garmin had me on a 7:00/min or below pace for most of the run. I was running next to a 18 year old boy doing 7:00/mile pace and I dropped him when I went to a 6:45/mile pace. Maybe I lost some time on the hills but I felt good on the run.
What would you do differently?:

I didn't train this year for short races because of my HIM training. I need to decide what my focus will be next year. Short or long races.
Post race
Warm down:

Drink soem water and ate peanut M&Ms. Strecthed and talked with friends and family. Good time.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training and still recovery from HIM two weeks ago.

Event comments:

Sad that this is the last year for this race. Set-up annouced they are losing money on this race and this is the last year. One of my favorite races so I am sad to see it go away.
