This was a great race. Chilly at the start, but I carpooled with four friends and we had a great time waiting for the start. Although I wasn't sure if I could do it, I ended up starting with the 1:45 half-marathon pace group (8:01). I figured since the course was mostly downhill, I had a chance. At 8 miles, I felt certain I could give a stronger effort, so I kicked it up for the finish. I felt great and proud! Here are my splits:
