Comments: Got in a group of about 8 guys and rolled with it. Hit the turnaround at 43:16 and new I was probably going too fast.... Ran well until the last 5K and hit a wall... Ran the last 5k in the 7 1/2 min/mile range. Really thought I'd bomb out sooner with little run training in the last 3 months. Very happy with a new PR. This course is flat & fast and good for PR's. Did the same race 5 years ago and bettered my time by 7 minutes today. Getting older and getting faster!! I'll take it. :) What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Absolutely drained when I finished, had to find a chair and sit down before I fell down. Had a Hammer recovery bar, bananas and some Hammer Recoverite. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training Event comments: Good early season race to get the juices flowing.
