Comments: NIce swim. Not too busy due to wave starts. Swam very poorly. Went of course and only really started swimming in the last 1-200m. What would you do differently?: Practice open water sighting. Transition 1
Comments: Slow in T1 sort of intentionally as I had a few things to do that had forgotten to do!! - race number not on belt etc. But felt got going OK. What would you do differently?: Prepare better. Bike
Comments: Really nice out and back course. There is one hill about 3km long at a 3-4% gradient. It was much easier than I thought it would be. What would you do differently?: Push harder on the 25-40km section. I deliberately held back a bit but probably should have pushed a little more. Transition 2

Comments: Stupidly downed 300ml drink in T2 as felt so good...then felt so bad! First 5km trying not to vomit and lower abdominal pain. Settled by the 6km mark. Happy with how I finished. What would you do differently?: Don't drink in T2! Post race
Warm down: Collapsed on family. Went to the beach. What limited your ability to perform faster: Had been injured so run not as fast as I had hoped but ride much better, so very happy for a first timer. Event comments: Fantastic race - atmosphere electric. Couldn't believe seeing "Crowie" and "Macca" doing warmups when I was leaving transition. Will definitely be back again next year. Not practiced at all - this was my first triathlon. Got to transition area at 0530, set up bike.
Home and ate some 2 minute noodles for start time of 0845.
Short swim in canal. (Sort of run warm up as left bike computer at apartment so had to run and get it).
