Pre-race routine:

Drove the 30 minutes from home. Drank a cup of coffee and a powerbar for breakfast.
Event warmup:

Very light stretching. Really wasn't feeling into running 9 miles this morning.

Comments:

Went out quick 6:31 first 2 miles. Backed off miles 3-7 knowing that the bridge was coming up mile 7.5-8.5. Apparently felt better than I thought. Had hopes of sub 65 min but thought I couldn't feeling the way I did.
What would you do differently?:

Not back off when I did. I still had enough to finish my last mile under my average. Gunning for sub hour next year.

Warm down:

Waited for my dad to finish then wandered around trying to find the rest of the family

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Didn't give myself enough credit to pace properly

Event comments:

1st place sports does an awesome job considering they're trying to organize 16k people.
