Pre-race routine:

Early start - 4:30am to get public transit - did not want to hassle with driving - coffee, toast and orange to get going
Event warmup:

not much, light stretching but by the time I got to the coral it was already crowded so I could not run much

Comments:

for my 2nd half marathon was pretty pleased, goal was 1:40 and came in at 1:39, felt really good at the end and the last 3 miles were my fastest, 7:06, 7:14 and 7:19 (6:43 for the last .3 on the garmin which said the course was 13.32) so probably could have started out a little faster, kept waiting for it to get more difficult but pretty much stayed on pace
What would you do differently?:

have more confidence in going faster, felt like there is still some room for improvement, but not knowing the course did not want to push too hard and then hit hills at the end, there really was not much in the way of hills so could have pushed a little harder early on

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Have more confidence in training and get out just a little faster in the 1st 10k

Event comments:

This is a really well run, large event, 30,000 runners (10k in the half, 20k in the full) and yet you never felt like you were running over people. Well spaced out, well marked and great organization. Packet pick up was easy. Would do this event again and recommend it.
