Excellent swim, caught 2 good drafts, fel very relaxed, stayed out of the way off to the side and no one bashing in to me.
What would you do differently?:

Find a sightng building, as very difficult to see the swim bouys due to the sun.

comfortable aero for whole way round.

Drink more. Dont eat 30 mins before finish, drink energy drinks not gels.

Severe Gastro pain at 4km. stopped at 5kim and agin at 6km and 7km, then pushed hard to get home.
What would you do differently?:

drink more on bike, steady running. 1st 3km in 14:56 last 3km in 15:17km so paciong was about right. lost about 2mins due to stopping and GI problems.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

gastro on run, lack of hydration on bike.

Event comments:

Great race, good test, shame running at the end let me down but came first out of all bahrain competitors. about 15minutes slower for all people than last year
