This run killed me. The uphills were ok but the downhills caused my quad cramps to come back with a vengeance. I ended up walking the last 3-4 miles because my legs were totally shot.

Hobbled down to the lake to soak in the cold water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training has been inconsistent at best due to work/life/excuses.

Event comments:

This was a well run race and all aid stations were stocked very well. Mark is a great race director who still remembers everyone's name. I'll keep doing HITS races as long as they are like this. This course was pretty tough though. maybe just the sprint next year.
