Swim
Comments: First swim of this type/distance and was happy with the time What would you do differently?: Just continue to train and become a better swimmer - next time target a swim time closer to 30 min Transition 1
Comments: Could have proceeded slight faster but good effort in/out of T1. Moderately long distance to go from water to rack 170 overall/22 age group What would you do differently?: need to learn how to clip shoes in at some point Bike
Comments: Fair amount of "hills" going up and down miami causeways. Able to make up ground on the tri-bikes going up. What would you do differently?: Very happy with bike time - wanted a time between 1:10 and 1:15. Almost exceeded the best-case goal Transition 2
Comments: Run past my bike rack and had to turn-around. Added about 20 seconds Run
Comments: First three miles started pretty good - probably just under 8 min per mile. Just started to run out of gas at the turn and struggled mightly from 4.5miles until the finish What would you do differently?: need to train more on having a stronger run after the other events Post race
Warm down: lots of water What limited your ability to perform faster: ran out of gas on the run Event comments: Great race. My first event in an olympic distance race, set the bar now I need to start working on time improvement. Excellent kids activities during the race (face painting, arts/crafts, air tatoo's, etc) Last updated: 2012-12-12 12:00 AM

Woke up early because alarm clock was 20 minutes fast. Cliff bar, water, had time to stop and get Starbucks. Went to transition area and set up.
