Comments: I was very nervous and thankful that I made it and didn't quit. What would you do differently?: Be better prepared. Need to take some swimming lessons for overall performance and self confidence. Transition 1
Comments: I showered my face and hair. Sat down to rinse my feet and dry them off. Towel dried long hair and put in pony tail. What would you do differently?: Hurry up and get my helmet on and buckled, shoes/socks and run w/bike and go. Bike
Comments: I was nervous and pushed hard. What would you do differently?: Walk or ride the course the day before to help me feel more confident and no surprises. Transition 2
Comments: I was tired and hurt my back putting my bike on the rack (someone was sitting in the middle of my bike rack isle and I had to twist and lift to put my bike on the rack). My back had a spasm. What would you do differently?: Run with my bike and rack it from the front without any twisting. Stay focused, breath and get moving. Eat something for energy as I was feeling a little weak. Run
Comments: My back was having a spasm and I didn't want to over do but I focused my goal was to have fun and finish. What would you do differently?: Better nutrition. Train to increase my speed and endurance. Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Nothing really. A few back stretches. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training and nutrition. Event comments: This race was a challenge and a positive life changing experience. I completed my goal to finish the race and have fun. I will do this race again in 2013. My goal will be podium. Day before race got race packet and went to orientation for the race. Looked at maps of race course and oriented my mind to visualize the swim, bike and run.
Walking around and some yoga.
