Pre-race routine:

Left the house way early to avoid getting jammed up in finding a parking spot. Had a Hammer bar, and sipped on a Osmo Nutrition electrolyte drink. Sat in the car for 10 mins, then walked around with my friend until we split up for the start.
Event warmup:

Walked about 1/2 mile to the start area.

Comments:

Decent run. I pushed a little bit, but not too hard after being sick, but I managed to set a PR for me. This was my 4th half mary in 11 months.
What would you do differently?:

Not get sick before the race.
Post race
Warm down:

Wandered around through the finishing chutes, met my family, sat on my ass in the grass area waiting for the concert to start. Sadly, no beer, as I'm off beer until my half ironman in March. What was I thinking? :)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Getting sick before the race.

Event comments:

Great race, full of energy, volunteers were amazing.

HR was a bit elevated during the first 3 miles for me. I had pneumonia up until 6 days before the event and I did nothing physical for 16 days prior to the event, so I would guess this played a part in that.
Course: Relatively flat, with gentle uphill until the Papagos, then downhill pretty much the entire last 3 miles.
