Run
Comments: We started with a tailwind but two quick lefts in the parking lot and BAM! Ice cold headwind. COLD. My hands are going numb thinking about it. I ran the first mile or so with my hands in my jacket pocket; my gait must have been awesome looking. I felt really good the first mile so I took it up a notch during Mile 2, which is mostly downhill anyways. I got to the lollipop part of the course and the leader was already coming out. He went 4:58 per mile. Man's game at the Frostbite 5 Miler. I started to feel it during Mile 4 and had some people catch me. I hung in there and managed to catch one right at the end. What would you do differently?: Stay in my warm house, sit on my big couch, watch TV, and eat a metric ton of cookies. Post race
Warm down: Grabbed some cookies and a water and walked as quickly as possible to my car so I could get back to my nice warm house. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing really. 5th time I've done this race and I PR'ed it by about 20 seconds. I put in a bunch of mileage for me in January so I'm pretty happy overall. 32 year old me kicked 28 year old me's ass. Event comments: Love the Frostbite 5. Nothing like a 5 Mile run to clear some room for the Soup/Chili competition on Super Bowl Sunday. Last updated: 2013-02-03 12:00 AM

Ran (i.e. drove) to Kroger to get the ingredients for my Super Bowl Party Soup/Chili Competition entry.
Warmup? It was 16 degrees outside (2 degrees with the wind chill). There was no warming up in regards to today. I left the warm sanctuary of the high school gym at the last possible moment.
