Pre-race routine:

Got up a little after 4:00. Fed the animals and woke Tom. Had a bagel right before we left at 5:00 and a banana in the car.

No real warm up, just walked to my start corral and tried to stay warm!

Comments:

You really get to a lot of different parts of the city during this run. It is fun and there are people and bands everywhere.
What would you do differently?:

Not have a hurt achilles. Run more recently than a week and a half ago. Go faster!!

Warm down:

Not much. Walked around trying to find Tom in a sea of people and walked back to the car.

Event comments:

The finish line area is horrible. It is clearly not enough space for so many people. It is the only bad part of the race.

Course: Started downtown. Crossed to North Shore, back to town, back to North Shore, across West End Bridge and through West End, past Station Square, down Carson Street, across Birmingham Bridge and back to town via Boulevard of the Allies. Finish near Point State Park.
