Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 430 to drive up to ripon. Had to set up two transition areas, drive to the finish and then take a bus to the start. Overall pretty cool.

Longest swim to date. Very happy w/ my pace and how relaxed I was. I swam by myself almost the whole time, easily 20 feet outside of the main flow.

Just a bit winded coming up. Also had to make sure my bag was entirely packed before I left so that the offical would take it back to the finish line for me.

This was just a race, not an event. I liked that. Entry was cheap, $55 for the long course!!! Also got the best shirt ever from this event. It was one of the poly mesh shirts, not a lame t-shirt that you'll never wear because the graphic is gay.

Course: Took it easy starting out, hoping to pick up the pace later on, but pretty much I just stayed at that same pace the whole time. I never got an additional wind for the run unfortunately.
