Swim
Comments: Started on the right side upstream side. went out pretty well but the race reccomended reef boots so I wore them it was like having lead on my feet. Swim 100 meters hit a shallow spot wade 30 feet swim and repeat. Got a pretty good bruise on my chest and knee from a rock I didn't see in time. Need to learn to dolphin dive over the shallow spots. Also need to swim bare foot and leave shoes on the bank to make the rocky run to transition. What would you do differently?: No boots and dolphin dive. Transition 1
Comments: Time included in swim time Long run to transition app. 400 yards What would you do differently?: Bring 1 right and one left glove not two rights. no gloves on the bike was tough. Bike
Comments: Fun bike section but because of my slow swim and not going out fast on the bike I got behind some riders that were fast on the flat but couldn't clear the obsticles on the single track. Passed a ton of people on the bike but it ate up way to much time. Still had a blast got kicked in the face when someone endoed in front of me. What would you do differently?: Go out hard in the beginning so you don't waste time passing on the single track. Transition 2
Comments: Included in run time What would you do differently?: Not much it went pretty well Run
Comments: Started out slow then picked it up passing a few people two in my age group. I kept holding back waiting for the river section that we didn't do. So I had way to much at the end. What would you do differently?: Know the couse a little better. Go Harder Post race
Warm down: Walk around and drink drink drink What limited your ability to perform faster: Course knowledge and a poor swim. Need to drink more but it's tough on single track. Event comments: I loved this race even though I didn't do very well It was alot of fun and a great challenge. Last updated: 2006-06-15 12:00 AM
