had a bagel with peanut butter, water coffee. Got there early, set up transition scouted site for start finish areas.

Comments:

First open water swim. Buoy's were all over the place. Water was murky (expected)...but didn't expect to have that much anxiety over it. Was hard to keep sight lines and steady/smooth stroke and breathing.
What would you do differently?:

Take an open water clinic before the next one.

Running shoes again w/no cleats. Had hard time trying to get into my shoes and socks before grabbing helmet and bike. had quarter mile run to T1.
What would you do differently?:

Hopefully next time will have cleats :-) But the running shoes help save time in T2!

Good ride this time. Improve my time and was having a blast! Hills weren't too bad. Did not feel nervous about it all, definitely more comfortable this time.

Was a longer run to T2 this time...keep forgetting I can take the helmet off after I dismount. Grabbed a little water and a little Gu...probably took more time than necessary.

Remove helmet before getting to rack.

Felt good...a little slow at first, but caught my groove. Enjoyed the course through the trail. Definitely better on the run than anything else.

Warm down:

Walked...drank water (and beer :-)).

What limited your ability to perform faster:

GI issues at the outset didn't make for a great swim :-(.

Event comments:

Love the atmosphere at the end of the race....one of my favortie parts!!
