Run
Comments: A good race. I think I paced it pretty well for my general training/conditioning (or lack thereof). Pretty steady splits, once I got out of the starting crowd. Ditched the arm warmers at mile 11. Ran my own race and didn't get sucked into others' paces. Picked up pace just the right amount starting at mile 11, giving me enough distance to claw back some positions but still finish strong. What would you do differently?: Consistent and targeted training. Post race
Warm down: Quick trip through the food line, but didn't eat. Put it into my drop bag, then headed back out to find Lee. Quads were pretty shot, so took it easy incl. some portions of walking. Found him and ran with/encouraged him to the finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of consistent training or focus on distance (or speed). Event comments: Always a well-done event. Finished the 5-year medal series this time, completing the "star". Even though I was notable slower than last year's PR, I ran a really good race for my fitness level. Last updated: 2013-02-25 12:00 AM

Oatmeal for breakfast.
Was only 40 degrees at start (getting up to 46~48 by finish). Fortunately, wasn't bitter at all.
Clothes - running shorts, technical t-shirt, cut toes off tube socks for cheap arm warmers, running gloves. Last-minute decision to remove headband.
Jogging from car to bag drop. Was cutting it a little close. Bumped into Aaron Patel right at the start and chatted for a minute.
