Comments: Got a slow start and got stuck behind a slow group. Would have liked to have been more agressive, but I wasn't going to push it on my first race. Couldn't find anyone to draft off of too well. Boys and nav were ok. What would you do differently?: Practice more in open water (as always!) Transition 1

Post race
Warm down: Basked in the glow of not finishing totally last! I will always wear my Red Sox Visor cause at the end all I heard was "Go Sox" and "Yeah Boston" at the finish :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat, water, carbs...need more practice... Event comments: I think I'm hooked!!! Everyone was so helpful and encouraging. Mad props to the guy whose bike broke but gave me the thumbs up as I rode by - I felt your pain...thanks for the encouragement. Last updated: 2006-06-15 12:00 AM

SOO nervous for my first race - woke up early and ate oatmeal...hopped in the car and drove to the site.
Mini run and short swim. Too nervous and hot to do too much.
