Pre-race routine:

Had been sick with a Sinus infection for the last 3 weeks. 4 days off antibotics, and no running since Buffalo Springs 1/2 IM 6/30. Just took it easy and hoped for the best

Faster swim than expected.1:15 faster than Moses lake 6 weeks ago. Over 5 minutes faster than last time I swam the course!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, very happy with the swim

Seem to have issues with the t times this year. Thought I had a fast time, but when I saw the times later realized there is work to do. cleaned up my area from Moses lake so that only what i NEED is there, so it should have been fast, but I was still 25 seconds slower than 6 weeks ago.
What would you do differently?:

didn't push hard. Had to wait running up the hill out of T1, as I had got into a pack of women from the wave in front of me. Also ended up behind a bunch of cars about 2 miles before the turn around, that slowed me. 3 plus minutes faster than the last 2 times on this course.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, VERY happy with this.

Hadn't run in 3 weeks. Was UNABLE to run due to stomach issues from Antibiotics for the last 2 weeks. I was surprised that I was even able to do this! Huge shout out to Leigh Stikehma for her positive comments on the run to me, it helped keep me motivated.
What would you do differently?:

Not be so sick before the race.

Ended up with a course record, beating my previous times by 6+ minutes.

Event comments:

Love this race and venue! I really think that the Olympic race is the best in the state. Will do it again for a 4 time in the future.
