Swim
Comments: good start, decent pace, swim right through the shallows, never stop early, hard on legs to wade What would you do differently?: swim until you scrape Transition 1
Comments: standard, this is a busy transition area sometime confusing, walk it several times What would you do differently?: walk it prior to race Bike
Comments: good speed for my bike, like 30 km min as a standard, dropped 20 places from swim, top half still What would you do differently?: keep cadence high Transition 2
Comments: lost my spot, wrong rack What would you do differently?: walk it prior to race Run
Comments: cramped again, last year same run was under 5 minute k's, it is a beautiful run with enough water stations, was hot again and seem not to respond so well in heat What would you do differently?: watch pre-race nutrition, could it be due to push on bike Post race
Warm down: fine, What limited your ability to perform faster: nutrition Event comments: this race is at a good time of year and a terrific setting, seemed to be at capacity this year with many more entrants than previous year, this made for some long lines, and difficulty getting post race stuff unless you wanted to wait in line, cannot get a nicer swim or run than this if you like beaches, clean water, no cars and lots of people Last updated: 2006-06-17 12:00 AM
