Swim
Comments: Fastest swim I have ever had. Calmest I have ever been in swim. I had a panic attack a few years ago in water and have been scared to death ever since. Right when we made turn for second loop, looked over and saw I was getting passed by first woman. Tried to draft, but that lasted about 6 strokes. She had fastest swim of everyone. What would you do differently?: Make sure I have proper wetsuit. Absolutely nothing during the swim. Transition 1
Comments: Long run from water to T1. What would you do differently?: Not trip over a root on way to T1. That was fun and messy. Dirt all over me. Bike
What would you do differently?: Train more. Post race
Warm down: Just walked around waiting for my buddy to finish tri. Injured hip so I could do tri. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not in good enough shape yet. Event comments: I emailed RD twice before race and never got response. Unacceptable in a race this size to me. I have done almost 200 triathlons and 300 foot races. Especially when I ask about not showing up on participant list 2 weeks after signing up. Including asking the week of the event. Race day seemed to go real smooth. Last updated: 2013-03-13 12:00 AM

I totally screwed this up. I had sleeveless and sleeved suit. Got to waters edge to put on wetsuit. Realized I had sleeveless. Had to run to transition area to get car keys and then run to car to get other suit. Had to take off timing chip to change wetsuits. Ran back to water and put suit on. Realized I did not have timing chip. Had to run back to van to get chip. Finally was ready for race. HR was way up there at this point.
I could only swim about 100 yards. Not like usual. But after all the running, guess I was warm enough already.
