Stretching.

  • 880 yards
  • 02m 19s / 100 yards
Comments:

Had a very good swim except for being out of breath. About half way through my stomach started knotting up. Just about threw up in the pool. Fairly pleased with my time.
What would you do differently?:

Better breakfast - see below.

  • 16.11 mile/hr
Comments:

44 minutes to ride and 2 minutes to hurl. About 1/3 into the ride I just couldn't take it anymore an had to stop and throw up. After that I felt much better. Very pleased with my pace. A great ride.
What would you do differently?:

I need to figure out the race day breakfast. This is the second triathlon this year I have had an upset stomach. Doesn't ever seem to happen in training. I am really getting used to my bike and may be ready for aerobars.
Transition 2
  • 01m
Comments:

Average transition. Time is estimated. T1 an T2 were included in the bike time.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing.
Run
  • 30m 1s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 09m 39s  min/mile
Comments:

Fairly average run. Didn't do as good as last year or this year's Governor's cup. My stomach was still slightly upset.
What would you do differently?:

Better breakfast.
Post race
Warm down:

Rested and snacked on the post race food. Waited for race time but they never came out so I left.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Pre race meal.

Event comments:

Great triathlon. The chip timing this year is a big plus. Very well run with friendly volunteers. Good post race scene.
