beautiful lake, clean/calm water. loved this swim! kept a comfortable pace and felt good coming out of water.

slowest transition, but that was part of my plan... to take it easy this race since it was my first olympic. in hindsight, i should have hurried up a bit more!

was conservative on bike b/c not familiar with course and wanted to save my legs before run since i have never done olympic distance before. i probably should have stepped it up a little more.

felt so much better on the run than i thought i would at this distance! lots of racer and volunteer support which was awesome. slight hills but not too bad.

push harder on the run next time!

Event comments:

this is such a great race. i'm so glad i chose it for my first olympic! great people (volunteers and racers), beautiful setting and very well organized. it's a smaller sized race and has a local vibe. i just loved it, such a great experience!! i might have to do it again! :)
