Pre-race routine:

Half bagel with peanut butter and coffee. Gel 15 min before swim. Didn't go bathroom before race, irritated me whole race

Lots of body contact the whole way, a girl got her fingers caught in my watch band once. Lots of tourist racers doing breaststroke had to get away from them

Think aerobars helped, really wonder how much faster I could be on tt bike. Finished 10 min faster than I expected. I ate 4 shot blocks during bike ride

Not talk to neighbor, distracted me so I forgot electrolyte beans, legs cramped later. Ate a gel

Take electrolytes. No gatorade on course. Hamstrings wanted to cramp, had to stretch 2x. Have gatorade at T2 to chase my gel

Event comments:

No toilet paper in bathrooms, no gatorade on run. Nice medal, towel and visor. Ugly shirt. I won't do this race again too many tourists entered, course boring
