Pre-race routine:

I woke up at 4:30am and had a bagel right away. On my way about 6 I had a banana and some sports drink.
Event warmup:

Just the usual dynamic stretching. Tried to wait till last minute to turn in my outerwear at bag check. It was a chilly morning. Thank goodness for those space blankets!

Comments:

Felt really strong on this one. Hydration and fueling was spot on. Almost took fuel a little late and was starting to feel it but luckily it didn't affect me.
What would you do differently?:

Not much I paced really well. I did a negative split but still would have like do start a tad bit slower but I got caught at the back of the corral and couldn't get forward to "my" corral.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around and then did some stretching and eating. Then headed to catch bus back to car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

This was a B race for me so if I ever planned it as an A race I am sure I could do a little better.

Event comments:

Always a well organized race. This year there seemed to be something missing. I just couldn't put my finger on it. It may just be the small things like water at the end of the race instead of sports drink. I still love this course and Pacers always does a great job with their race series. Also no age group break down only overall. Only age group breakdown was for the winners. I would have like to see how well I did against others my age.
