Ride was OK. No socks. Watched the HRM but it was higher than I would have liked. Tired to keep it at a comfortable pace. Stayed in the aero position except when taking sharp turns or drinking.

Had a brief shower at the start of my run. Wore socks but still ended up getting blister on my toe.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Having sore legs leading up to the race limited any run training for the month prior to the rce.

Event comments:

I like having the local race. I also liked the changes made to the race compared to last year. I plan to do more HITs races
