Run
Comments: So I had no idea what to expect since I'm getting over bronchitis and have run only once in the past 2 weeks. Started out too fast, as usual. :) But then settled into a pace. I then tried to pick up the pace starting with mile 4. I had some coughing and wheezing during that mile. Per coach's recommendation, I started passing people mile 4. I kept it up til the end. My family was cheering me on. In the last half mile, my 4 yr old rode with me on his balance bike to the finish. :) I was really happy I was going to beat 11 min mile pace. Then at the end I realized I might bet a PR! I was able to run hard that last half mile, and I beat my PR by 40 seconds! Yay! What would you do differently?: It was a little warm for pants. Post race
Warm down: walked around, talked to people, drank water while baby played with cups. A fun time was had by all. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: bronchitis surely had an impact. Event comments: Nice small race. Hometown feel. :) Well, it is my hometown. :) Oh, and the timing company they used was great. They e-mailed me my results: time, pace, overall and age group place plus temperature. Last updated: 2013-04-01 12:00 AM
