Swim
Comments: Made a major mistake at the start. I positioned myself to the left of the course nearest the bouy's (its an 300m straight line with a 90 degree left hand turn at the end). everyone did the same and it was too choppy and too many people. I had to take a 45 degree angle, got to the right side of the course and was fine after that. I planned on swimming in about 12 min, so having to make this adjustment cost me about 1 minute. What would you do differently?: Start where I planned to all along. Transition 1
Comments: Its a long tranistion run in and out for bike mount, so I am OK with this time. Bike
Comments: Bike course was changed due to road repairs and was shortened to 10.5 miles. I was really happy with my bike time as I averaged 20 MPH, which is strong for me. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Nothing here, good transition Run
Comments: This is where it fell apart for me. The Northeast has been strugling with a heatwave and SAturday was day 7 of it. And just as I entered T2, the sun came out full. Its an out and back course an I made it to turn around in average time, but totally hit the wall on the last half. What would you do differently?: Dont know, need to comtemplate Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat and humidity Event comments: CGI Racing puts on a great event. This is my second time racing this event and its on my calendar each year. Overall, I am disappointed with my performance. The swim was OK and my bike was good, but my run sucked. Need to re-evaluate my training. Last updated: 2013-04-01 12:00 AM
