Swim
Comments: Poor visibility in water, only 1-2 ft. What would you do differently?: Started at the back of the pack as I did not consider myself as strong swimmer. This was a mistake as there were people freestyle swimming that were slower than my breast stroke. Could not seem to get around them. Start in middle of the pack next time! Transition 1
Comments: Slight disorientation coming out of the water. Unsure of the whole getting off the wetsuit while moving to transition area. What would you do differently?: Practice getting out of the wetsuit and performing T1. Bike
Comments: The course was well marked with volunteer and/or police at the intersections and turn around. What would you do differently?: Practice getting on and off the bike. Bring Garmin for data feedback. Transition 2
Comments: Had problems racking bike. What would you do differently?: Practice T2! Run
Comments: No issues. Didn't know my heart rate or pace, so just kept and easy effort. What would you do differently?: Remember Garmin! Post race
Warm down: Walked back to the car to get a post work-out DEEP30 shake. What limited your ability to perform faster: Forgetting my Garmin and not practicing transitions. Event comments: The only thing that could have made the race better was the post race food. Donuts and pizza? Really?!? Last updated: 2013-04-05 12:00 AM

Arrived earlier as this was my first triathlon. Parked, unloaded bike and gear, and road the bike to the transition area. Upon unloading, I discovered I forgot the Garmin on the charging station. Decided to just relax and enjoy my first tri. Took 2 packets of Gen uCan and a tbsp of coconut oil.
No bike or run warm up. Swam a few minutes prior to start. Not much of a warm up.
