Swim
Comments: took the lead on the wave which was all men 40+; Had a difficult time to the first buoy as a couple swimmers were crossing my sighting. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: Had to take time to put wet suit, cap and goggles in the transition bag What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: Beautiful course and great weather. I was able to catch many people and was only passed by a few. Saw the pros only once. Was able to attach the hills very strong. Lowest temp 44.4f max temp 66.2f, avg temp 55.6f What would you do differently?: I did over do climbing the hills. I talked to a few people and may need to rethink a power meter to not let my body blow up. Transition 2
Comments: some one had set all their equipment in my spot to put my bike so I had to move it, which slowed down my T2. What would you do differently?: On split T1-T2 need to verify the spot with the management. Run
Comments: Since pushed the bike so hard it was a long run. The first mile started to have right knee pain, which did go away. Light wind only 6mph SE and 64f. What would you do differently?: overall a good race. nothing Post race
Warm down: walked to the Rev3 Athlete Area after getting chocolate milk at the finish. Was greet by my family. Hiland Dairy took pictures of me drinking Chocolate Milk. What limited your ability to perform faster: push too hard on the bike Event comments: Excellent venue, staff was very helpful and friendly. Volunteers were outstanding. Tablerock Lake is one of the clearest lakes I have swam in. The bike ride was beautiful and challenging. The run was fun to see the family on the three loops. Post race activities were fun, but they were almost out of food when I went through the line. Last updated: 2013-04-06 12:00 AM
