Run
Comments: I think I paced this one almost perfecto. It's been a year or so since I ran "just" a 1/2 Marathon, so I was a little iffy as to what my time would actually be. The first 10k went by like nothing flat, and I noticed I had PR'd my 10k as a bonus. (right under 43 minutes) About 8 1/2 miles in I started feeling my old friend "pain" creep in. I grabbed a gel at the next aid station and pushed through, trying to keep my mind on things other than the suck. By mile 11 I was in the "gut it out" zone, just keeping one foot in front of the other and staying on pace (hard to do with all the hills once you get on campus) At mile 12 I knew it was going to be a better time than I had hoped for, and I crossed the 50 Yard line of Neyland Stadium beating my old (2011) time by 10 minutes! What would you do differently?: Nada. I had a great day. Post race
Warm down: Got some pictures, got my medal, got the h#ll out of there. What limited your ability to perform faster: Well, taking Feb. off of running (injury) didn't help, but overall I think things went pretty good. More miles!!! Event comments: This is a well put on event. Lots of people cheering, lots of volunteers, great post-race goodies. This is how a large-scale event should be done. Last updated: 2013-04-07 12:00 AM

Got up, got a shower, got some breakfast, got ready :) Parent's came and picked me up and we were off to the race venue.
Not much, I jogged around for a few minutes then found my way to the right(ish) start corral.
