Run
Comments: I run through these neighborhoods all the time and this course is difficult. Since I was familiar with the route I underestimated the difficulty. I have been nursing right hip issues, what I am calling bursitis since the half mary and haven't run much. To throw 9 miles on one day on a difficult course was probably a mistake. At about mile 4 I was definitely feeling the hip but gutted out the first run. What would you do differently?: I am seeing a doctor about the hip and I probably should have worked in more short runs. Bike
Comments: I figured my only chance was to hammer the bike since my hip was bothering me. I did and it was fun despite the shitty road. I live here and I always climb but never descend this route because it's rough. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Time includes T2 I guess. I missed my goal by 7 seconds because of the hip issue. I probably walked 5-6 minutes of this second run. What pisses me off is my fitness was not lacking my leg just hurt. Post race
Warm down: Walked around and talked to local tri club memebers What limited your ability to perform faster: hip Event comments: This is course is not to be underestimated. It is hard. I wish my hip would have been a little better, I think I could have shaved 5 or more minutes off the time. Last updated: 2013-04-07 12:00 AM
