Pre-race routine:

Swim was replaced by another run due to flooding. Got to the race site about an hour before start, tightened my aerobars (they still wiggle way more than they should), set up transition, and played the waiting game.

Comments:

Tough bike course. First time using aerobars in a race, also first race since my fitting. And I felt fast. Really fast. I was actually upset that my time wasn't better, but those hills were brutal, so I guess that explains it. I also found my front tire was flat the next morning, so I probably got a flat during the race... then again, I didn't notice it, so maybe not.

Brought my water bottle with me, and that helped a lot! I drank the whole bottle, and stopped at every water station. Still can't make the whole 10K in a tri without walking, but I think I'm getting closer.

Just walked around, got some gatorade, ate some pizza and beer.

Still sad that it was a Du and not a Tri this year, but oh well... Still had fun.
