Swim
  • 15m 11s
  • 880 yards
  • 01m 44s / 100 yards
Comments:

Reid talked to some woman who said the course was longer than 880...I felt like i had the best swim of my life including the stroke and sighting, but my time wasn't great.
I did feel my typical headache late in the swim, but it went away.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing at all
Transition 1
  • 02m 18s
Comments:

T1 was pretty good for me. I started counting as soon as I got in, and I think that helped me get focused a little more. It was about 30 seconds faster than I was expecting.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. I kept the set up simple and it was good.
Bike
  • 38m 56s
  • 12.3 miles
  • 19.10 mile/hr
Comments:

I felt good on the bike. I need to figure out my bike computer a little better so that I can see the data I want to see and so that it starts up without any issues when I take off from transition.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe drink a little bit more to store up for the run. I wanted to be a little faster, and I thought I had gotten there.
Transition 2
  • 01m 24s
Comments:

This was a good transition time for me...I tried to focus on getting out quickly. Had my shoes set up and really didn't need to do anything more than take shoes off and slide on my running shoes and hat. Took last big swig of water and was off. Last second, I put on the shorts I had on before the race. Not sure why.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 25m 48s
  • 3.2 miles
  • 07m 56s  min/mile
Comments:

I felt fine on the run...I just couldn't seem to make myself go faster. Very disappointed in my time, but I'm not sure why I expected to run faster when I haven't done much short and fast work
What would you do differently?:

Sharon Johnson suggested focusing on cadence instead of speed...maybe doing more speed work
Post race
Warm down:

Went to Browns and had some beers

What limited your ability to perform faster:

mental ability to run faster

Event comments:

$97 for a sprint and then no T-Shirt? No biggie, but made it seem a little "cheap"
