Swim
Comments: Current was headed to the north, so I started out to the left of the group thinking that the current would pull me toward buoy. It was low tide and some athletes ran out towards a sand bar and ran the first half to the buoy, pretty smart. I swam and ended up further to the right of the buoy than I wanted. Swam pretty well considering I have done only 6 swims on the tether. I need to stop swimming an extra 100 yards every race! What would you do differently?: Navigate better Transition 1
Comments: Decent transition, although it was a long run through some heavy sand which wore me out. I had a great mount onto the bike and ran by 4 or 5 guys trying to mount right at the line. There is a small hill as you exit the park, so that was a little difficult getting up to speed. What would you do differently?: Pace myself out of the water Bike
Comments: TRied to go out as hard as I could, but held back a little. Going to spend a lot of time on the trainer the next couple of weeks. Transition 2
Run
Comments: Maybe used a little too much on the bike? Hard to tell first race of the season. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: First race of the year. Didn't have a lot of expectations. Overall I am pretty happy considering the amount of work I put in. Event comments: This a great race in its 22 year. Fun course, nice way to kick off the season. Last updated: 2013-04-14 12:00 AM
