  • 26.2 miles
  • 08m 26s  min/mile
Comments:

16-minute marathon PR! Quads were shot after Heartbreak Hill. Did a good job of gutting out the last 6 miles, but cadence dropped a bit and pace slowed considerably.
What would you do differently?:

Not hammer the hills so hard.
Post race
Warm down:

long walk through finisher's area, long walk trying to find Leeann in the confusion, long walk back to Back Bay.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Ran out of gas in my legs after the hills. Quads were stiff and hurting.

Event comments:

Event tainted by bombings. I keep waiting to hear that the perpetrator has been caught. Still proud of my effort and my fundraising for Dana Farber.
