Swim
What would you do differently?: Practice diving under the ropes and probably run before the swim to warm my body up a bit more. Transition 1
Comments: Didn't have my Garmin turned on, so that threw me a bit. Felt good running out of transition, despite it being in cycling shoes. What would you do differently?: Learn to run and jump on the bike...get tri shoes, and go barefoot to save time. Bike
Comments: Need to get more miles in...took my legs awhile to get up to speed, and my hamstrings felt weak. What would you do differently?: Need to do squats in training and more miles. I would go faster on the turns. Transition 2
Comments: Kind of got my usual order out of whack here, but it ended up okay. Run
Comments: Was tight and felt slow, but I was going faster than I thought. Had a water bottle in one hand and my garmin in the other, which created some tension near the end in my back. What would you do differently?: Hydrate on the bike better so I don't have to carry water. Post race
Warm down: Shower at the hotel!! What limited your ability to perform faster: Probably should have had a goo on the bike, and more water Event comments: Great race, very organized with lots of friendly volunteers. Good music and LOTS of food for competitors at the end. Last updated: 2006-06-20 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30, got some coffee and a half bagel with almond butter and jam. Lazed around, took a shower, got to the site about 6am...too early. Walked around and tried to avoid the mosquitos eating me.
Did 200M swim warmup.
