Comments:

This was my 10K goal race and I pushed it as hard as I could the whole way. The heat got to me a bit and my legs really struggled on the last group of hills.

I was completely spent at the finish and felt a little light headed. I beat my last year time by 7:30 minutes and my 10K PR by 1:05. So even going into the race I thought I could run about a 48:00 I was happy with my effort.
What would you do differently?:

More speed intervals. Maybe pace myself a little better.
Post race
Warm down:

walk up that frickin hill at the end, drink 5 bottles of water and water through the cooling tents.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of speed interval training recently.

Event comments:

It is the must do race in Maine and one of the best ones in the country with a bunch of top runners from around the world.
