Comments:

I got brave and started on the front row. Got out cleanly, trying to get to the first turn in clean water. It worked pretty well, but by the time I hit the 2nd turn, I was beat. I calmed it down on the backstretch, but was veering right. I stayed steady, caught a lot of the first wave. Finished the lasst stretch pretty smoothly. I was hoping to be around 12min, but when I saw I was 5ht overall, I was very excited. I think the course was a bit long.

Comments:

no problem here, just a ~200m run straight up a hill to the TA. It spiked the heart rate. I jogged up, passed a couple of people. No problems getting off the wetsuit for a change, and got ouot smoothly

Comments:

decent ride. I know I'm not in great bike shape. I felt like I kept it right below the red line the whole time. I did drop my chain once, cost me ~30 sec or so. Pretty steady effort. Could've gone harder, but wanted to save something for the run.

Comments:

I liked the new running shoes and lace locks. No problems getting them on quickly

Comments:

good run. First 1/3 mile was straight uphill. I managed it well, and wanted to get to the turn around and then push it a bit. Passed one guy right at the turn, and saw a couple of guys gaining on me. I picked it up, adn finished don the hill strongly

Post race
Warm down:

walked around a bit, ate a sandwich, and drove back home. First age group win but couldn't stick around for awards, bummer.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of bike strenght. I've got the endurance, but still no power.

Event comments:

Good smaller race. Hilly course, nothing terribly steep, just constant hills.
