Swim
Comments: Wow--- this was the hardest swim I've done (not saying much; I have little experience in the open water), but the waves and current were difficult! I was pretty scared, but the worst part was all the people ahead of me that had stopped and were holding on to the buoys and kind of yelling for the kayaks to help them. Not to be mellow-dramatic, but it felt like a ship wreck scene, and for us new-bees that was scary. What would you do differently?: More open water practice!! And rotary breathe! Transition 1
Comments: Way too slow getting out of wetsuit-- need to practice Didn't have suit down going into T1 What would you do differently?: practice getting out of suit--- -stuck on the timing chip. Bike
Comments: pace the same pretty much out and back. What would you do differently?: Get More miles in! Transition 2
Comments: OK-- left running with everything in my hands. Need to figure out new easier band for my Garmin. What would you do differently?: stop forgetting my race number! Run
What would you do differently?: Practice more runs at this distance at race pace. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: mental, fear in the swim. Event comments: Great race! Fun people; everyone so nice and helpful. Plan on returning! Last updated: 2013-05-06 12:00 AM
