my posted time was 6:42, but that included me putting on a jacket, tights, hat, gloves, and more, all before I ran out to transition. I passed the guy with the fastest overall time in the water.
My guess is that I swam a solid 4:30 (1:12 pace), or faster.
What would you do differently?:

Not have it be as cold outside.
